Sonrisa Dental brings professional dental care directly to you. We transport our portable dental equipment to your home, workplace, aged care facility or other suitable location and create a temporary treatment space for your appointment.
Once your appointment is complete, our equipment is packed away and taken with us. We'll let you know beforehand if there is anything we need from you or any requirements for the space, so you know exactly what to expect.

We provide a range of preventative and general dental services, including dental examinations, professional cleans, oral hygiene care, periodontal (gum) treatment, selected restorative treatment such as fissure seals, and professional teeth whitening.
As a mobile dental service, some treatments and diagnostic procedures are better suited to a traditional dental clinic. If you require treatment, dental imaging or specialist care that we cannot provide, we'll explain your options and help guide you towards the appropriate next step.

Mobile dental care can be suitable for almost anyone who would benefit from receiving dental care in a more convenient or familiar setting.
Sonrisa Dental was created with busy professionals and families in mind, as well as children, older Australians, people living with illness or reduced mobility, and residents of aged care or supported living facilities.
We can also arrange dental visits for workplaces, community organisations and facilities, including appointments for multiple people at the same location.
-
Before your appointment, we'll ask you to provide some information about your medical and dental history, current medications and any concerns you would like us to address.
During your visit, we'll discuss your concerns, assess your teeth, gums and overall oral health, and explain our findings and recommendations. Depending on the appointment you have booked, treatment such as a professional clean may also be completed during the same visit.
If we identify anything requiring X-rays, further treatment or care that cannot be provided through our mobile service, we'll discuss the appropriate next steps with you.
-
Simply contact our team or submit an enquiry through our website. We'll ask you a few questions about who the appointment is for, your location and the type of dental care you're looking for.
Once we understand what you need, we can confirm whether your appointment is suitable for our mobile service, provide an estimate or quote, and arrange a suitable appointment time.
If you're not sure exactly what treatment you need, that's completely fine - tell us what's concerning you and we can help determine the most appropriate next step.

While we can provide a wide range of preventative and general dental care through our mobile service, some treatments, diagnostic imaging and more complex procedures require the facilities of a traditional dental clinic or specialist.
If we identify something that cannot be appropriately managed through Sonrisa Dental, we'll explain our findings and recommend the appropriate next step. Where necessary, we can also provide a referral or communicate relevant information to another dental practitioner involved in your care.
Our priority is ensuring you receive the right care, even when that care needs to be provided elsewhere.
-
Very little preparation is required. We simply need a suitable area where we can safely set up our portable dental equipment, along with access to a standard power point nearby.
Before your appointment, we'll let you know if there are any additional requirements based on the treatment being provided. If you're unsure whether your home or location is suitable, just get in touch and we'll be happy to discuss the setup with you.
-
Absolutely. One of the benefits of mobile dental care is being able to arrange appointments for multiple family members at the same location, helping you avoid separate trips to the dental clinic and making dental care easier to fit around your day.
When making an enquiry, simply let us know how many people you would like to book and the type of care required. We'll make sure enough time is allocated for everyone.
-
Yes. Sonrisa Dental can provide mobile dental care to patients living in aged care facilities, supported accommodation and other suitable residential care settings.
For patients who may find travelling to a dental clinic difficult due to age, illness or reduced mobility, receiving care in a familiar environment can provide a more comfortable and convenient alternative.
Please contact us to discuss the patient's individual needs and any requirements of the facility before arranging an appointment.
-
If you have private health insurance with dental extras, you may be eligible to receive a rebate for eligible dental treatment.
The amount you can claim will depend on your health fund, individual policy, available benefits and the treatment provided. We recommend checking directly with your health fund if you would like to confirm your level of cover or expected rebate before your appointment.
